Mrs. Ruby Mae Crumby Scott, age 95, of Hot Springs, formerly of Prescott, passed away, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her home in Hot Springs. She was born on October 15, 1920 in Emmet, Arkansas to Meredith and Floy Bree Crumby. Mrs. Scott was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs and a retired clerk with the Arkansas Department of Health. She has been a resident of Sherwood, Arkansas for over 30 years. Mrs. Scott was a devoted wife, a loving mother and especially devoted to her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam Vick Scott Sr., and her daughter; Ann Scott Algee. Survivors include; her son, Sam Vick Scott Jr., wife, Kim of Cabot, her daughter; Kay Scott Carnes, husband, Tom of Hot Springs Village, son-in-law, Harold Algee of Farmington, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren other family members and friends. Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 22 Emmet, Arkansas 71835 in lieu of flowers. Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Snell Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
