Bobbye L. Rutledge, 78, of Hot Springs passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. She was born October 10, 1937 in Batesville, Arkansas, to the late Bob and Dorothy Ford. Bobbye was a graduate of Batesville High School and attended Arkansas College (Lyon College). While attending college, she was a member of the choir and numerous other organizations. She was an active member of Diamondhead Community Church where she participated in the women's group and choir. Bobbye was deeply involved in Care Caps, making caps for cancer patients. She was a member of the Diamondhead Ladies Bridge Club. Bobbye's passion was being around family and friends, whether it was at her home, shopping or social engagements. She made every Christmas a special occasion for everyone. She enjoyed vacationing at Orange Beach, Alabama, with family and special friends. Preceding her in death was her brother, Larry Ford. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Walter; children, April (Kenny) Howsen and Trey (Kim) Rutledge; grandchildren, Tyler Howsen, Whitney (Chris) Cassidy, Chase Grinnell, and Austin Rutledge; and brother, David Ford. A Celebration of Bobbye's Life will be held at Diamondhead Community Church on Saturday, October 8th, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diamondhead Community Church or Care Caps, (c/o Mary, 103 Tanglewood Circle, Fairfield Bay, Ark. 72088).
