DALE MORTON PLAMER, 86, of Maumelle passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Topeka, Kans. on March 12, 1930 to the late Glenn Palmer and Alma Christenson. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Billie LaVonne Palmer and a sister, Virginia Cordts. He retired from the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad after working there over thirty years. He was a man of few words, but was known for his dry sense of humor. He is also responsible for a few of the favorite family recipes that have been passed on and are still loved today. He liked structure in his life and was well known for his frugality. However, his generosity quietly touched the lives of many in need. He enjoyed worshiping at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church. More than anything on this earth, Dale loved and lived for his high school sweetheart and wife, whom he adored. He is survived by his children, Lonna Moreth, Michael Palmer (Linda), James Palmer, Janet Mack (Dave); eight grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Kenworthy. A memorial service will be held at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 3 p.m., officiated by Pastor Vandercook. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, 449 Millwood Circle, Maumelle, Ark. 72213. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
