Joel James Johnston

Joel James Johnston, 66, of Hot Springs, Ark. passed away Oct. 11, 2016 at Springhill Baptist Hospital. James was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Marie Johnston. James was born in Hot Springs, Ark. on Sept. 20, 1950.He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Patsy Ballard Johnston of Hot Springs, Ark., three brothers, Joe Johnston & wife Marilyn of Hot springs, Ark., Lewis Johnston & wife Martha of San Jose, Calif., David Johnston & wife Rosa of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Sandy Smoke & husband Kelly of Magnet Cove, Ark., Glenda Breshears & husband Dale of Jacksonville, Ark., Marilyn Southerland & husband Jerry of Jacksonville, Ark. Also numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Dr.'s and nurses at Springhill Baptist and Hospice for the great care they gave our brother. The Family will be gathering Saturday, September 15, 2016, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 502 Green Castle Ct., Jacksonville, Ark. There will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baptist Hospice. James was an organ donor and there will be many that will benefit from his generosity from that and donating his body to science.
