JEWELL MARIE BURLISON passed into Heaven Oct. 13, 2016 at the age of 84. No more worries, no more pain, no more disabilities. She was born Nov. 1, 1931 in East End, Ark. to Ruth Alma Whitehead Ball and Wiltern Herbert Ball. She was the last of five children to leave this earth. She was in the last graduating class from East End School before it consolidated with Sheridan School District. She was valedictorian of her class and she had also been allowed to skip first grade when she started school. She married Boyd Burlison July 1, 1951 and they spent their lives in East End. She was of the Baptist faith her entire life and enjoyed attending church, and was a firm believer in tithing. She retired from Teletype Corporation in 1989. She loved to talk and she loved to play dominoes. She never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Burlison, and son- in-law, Merrell Williams Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Williams; grandson, Eddy Williams (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Brock and Kylie Williams, Shealeigh Smith, Lane Herrington (Faith); and great-great grandson, Tristen Smith. She leaves behind many friends and relatives. We wish to thank her niece, Patricia Parker, who lived with her for 10 years. Crown Point Assisted Living, Sheridan Nursing and Rehab, and Arkansas Hospice for the care they gave her in her last years. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Landmark Baptist Church, 17201 Arch St., Little Rock, Ark. 72206.
