David Lee Winslow, 85, of Bentonville died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Sept. 2, 1931 in Oregon, Mo., the son of Edna and Orvel Winslow. Dave served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of First Christian Church of Bentonville. Dave received his pilot's license at 61 and was a major in the Civil Air Patrol. He assisted Helping Hands, delivered for Meals on Wheels and served on the board for the Office of Human Concerns. Dave was loved by all and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bob Winslow; and three sisters, Barbara Hall, Alberta Chuning and Betty Winslow. Dave is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jane Winslow; one son, Larry Winslow of Bella Vista; two daughters, Linda Melancon and her husband Kenny of Bentonville, Nancy Vining of Virginia; one sister, Beverly Quimby of Mo.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and many more loving family members and friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 17 at Epting Funeral Home Bentonville. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at First Christian Church of Bentonville.
