Nathan John Hartzell, age 57, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2016 after bravely fighting a two-year battle with Cancer. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 25, 1958 to Margie and Donald Hartzell. He was the 4th and youngest son of his family and his Mamma's "Baby Boy." Nathan was married to the "Love of his Life", Sheila McCown Hartzell and together God blessed them with six wonderful children. Adam, Elizabeth, Ethan, Evan, Emily and Alex. Nathan graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a BA in Marketing. He had strong work ethic which allowed him to have a successful 26-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently with Allergan. Nathan was passionate and competitive about sports especially baseball and softball, which he played throughout his life, and he loved the Razorbacks!!!! He was a devoted, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who found immense pleasure in being involved in all of his children's activities. Nathan always had a positive attitude, a great sense of humor and infectious smile which his friends, family and co-workers will truly miss. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Donald Hartzell and brother, Daniel Hartzell. Nathan is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; their four sons, Adam (Alexis), Ethan (Charlotte), Evan and Alex; two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily; grandchildren, Adrian, Elijah, Brady and Carter Hartzell; his siblings, Micheal Hartzell, David Hartzell, Debbie H. Glasgow Stearle, and Donna Green (John); sister-in-law, Martha Hartzell; brother-in-law, Steven McCown (Joyce); sister-in-law, Elise Hawks (Robert); as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his doctors at CARTI and all who provided such great care for him throughout his illness. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., October 20, 2016 at Fellowship Bible Church. A celebration of his life will take place following visitation at Fellowship Bible Church at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211.
