Walker Thurman Harrell

Walker Thurman Harrell, 90 of Sardis, Arkansas passed away October 18, 2016. He was born October 3, 1926 in Cato, Arkansas to the late Horace Madison and Ethel McPike Harrell. He was retired from Reynolds Metals as a Millwright Maintenance Mechanic. Walker was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a Navy Veteran. He loved to garden, hunt, fish and spend time with his family. Walker was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 51 years, Lillian Beatrice Beall Harrell, brothers, Austin, Joe, Charles, and Frankie; sisters, Freeda and Katherine. He is survived by his children, Henry Allen and wife, Carron, Thurman and wife, Carole, Norma, Donna and husband, Terry, grandchildren, Robert, John Todd, Jody Allen, Maddison, Nikki, Bree and Shelby, great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Erin, Elijah Walker, Macie, Tucker Allen, Amelia, Ancil, Carter, Jude, brothers, Leo, David, Bobby, sisters, Martha and Eva; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Pallbearers will be Howard Winkler, Jerry Wade Harrell, Jody Harrell, John Todd Harrell, Eli Harrell, Johnathon Harrell, Dave Johnston and David Johnston. Church Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sardis with Bro. Rick Porter officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis.
