Warren G. Langham

Warren G. Langham 94 of Fayetteville passed away October 17, 2016 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1922 at Goshen, Arkansas, the son of Garland (G.A.) and Arta M. Oxford Langham. Warren was an avid gardener and fisherman. He retired from the First National Bank of Fayetteville in 1985 after 30 years of service. He was a 1941 graduate of The Huntsville State Vocational School and completed numerous courses from The School of Banking. He was a lifetime member of Wiggins United Methodist Church where he served as a member of the board and always was willing to serve where needed. Up until his death he attended Baldwin Baptist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, longtime member of The Farm Bureau, past member of the Salvation Army, and served as President of the Fayetteville Exchange Club. Warren was a multi-gallon blood donor with the American Red Cross. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Dorothy Langham Bowen and daughter-in-law, Beverly Langham. He is survived by his wife, Alice Irene Garretson Langham whom he married September 4, 1943 of the home, daughter, Shirley Birdsall and husband Cal of Katy, Texas, daughter, Helen Cole and husband Ron of New Bloomfield, Mo., and son, Gary Langham of Springdale. He also leaves grandchildren, Vonda Syler and husband Ron of Siloam Springs, Oaklea Phillips and husband Nick of Mulberry, Trey Lewis and wife Kimberly of Katy, Texas, Chuck Cole and wife Laura of Columbia, Mo., Erin Mansur of Little Rock, Holly Spencer and husband Matthew of York, NE and Jarrod Langham and wife Brandii of Springdale and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him is his niece, Evelyn Bowen Shaw and husband Dennis of Tontitown and nephew, Dr. Thomas E. Bowen and wife Mary of Riverside, Calif. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at Beard's Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
