Dorothy W. Pearson

Dorothy W. Pearson, 89, passed away October 17, 2016. She was born April 17, 1927 in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas to William Wood and Emma (Pate) Wood. She was a former employee of Independence County and retired as an employee of the state of Arkansas. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Emma Wood; her husband Jim Pearson; her son Phillip Pearson; brothers, Julius and Virgil Wood; sister Elsie Wood. She is survived by two daughters Donna Cross and her husband Ken and Carol Armstrong and her husband Dennis; three grandchildren: Chris Armstrong and his wife Alicia, Joe Cross and his wife Krista, and Kelly Cross; two great grandchildren Ava Armstrong and Tyler Armstrong; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Visitation and funeral were October 19, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Scott officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery of Batesville.
