Ricky Lee Pruett

LTC Ricky Lee Pruett, United States Army (Ret.), age 63, of Jacksonville, went to be with his Lord on October 18, 2016. He was born November 11, 1952 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Jessie L. Pruett and Allie N. Pruett. Mr. Pruett graduated from UALR in 1974, UALR School of Law in 1978, and the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California in 1986. He served in the US Army from 1979 – 1982 and was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He served in the US Army Reserve from 1982 – 2000 with the 431st Civil Affairs and served two combat tours: Operation Just Cause in Panama 1989 and Operation Desert Storm in 1991. During his military career, he received, among other awards, the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal. He is survived by his loving wife Pamela K. Pruett, his son Steven L. Pruett and his wife Jaclyn, his daughter Sarah M. Cantrell and her husband Michael, and five grandchildren, Allie, Anna, Sofiah, Sadie, and Sophia. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville with the reverends David O'Dell and Mike Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 1117 North James Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.
