Vernon Dee Kirby

Vernon Dee Kirby, age 78, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was born July 17, 1938 in Springhill, Ark., a son of the late Howard Kirby and Ora Mae Beene Kirby. He was an Air National Guard Veteran, owned and operated Kirby's Heat and Air, and was a member of Amboy Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Grabher Kirby; son, Terry (Heather) Kirby of North Little Rock; daughter, Traci Balentine of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Tanner, Bailey, and Abby Kirby and Peyton and Hailey Turner; and two brothers, Royce (Ann) Kirby of Conway and Curtis (Cindy) Kirby of North Little Rock. Other than his parents he was preceded by baby boy Kirby, and his grandparents. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 24, at Amboy Baptist Church in North Little Rock, with Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery in Springhill, Ark., by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
