Arthurline Parker Bradford

MRS ARTHURLINE PARKER BRADFORD, 91 of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Pine Bluff, Ark., received her angel's wings on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. Ms. Bradford was born in Washington, Ark. She was the second child of four to Emma Lee Anderson Parker and Arthur Parker Sr. Her two brothers, Chester Lee and Arthur Parker Jr., have made their heavenly transition. In 1942, Ms. Bradford graduated from Nevada County Training School, Rosston, Ark. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (formerly Arkansas AM&N College) where she received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1952. Ms. Bradford furthered her education in 1965 with a Master's Degree from the University of Central Arkansas (formerly State College of Arkansas). Ms. Bradford taught 40 years in the Nevada County School District (Oak Grove). She had many good students that became great achievers in their lives. A few of her outstanding students are State Senator Joyce Elliott, Smokey Norful Jr., Linda Scoggins and Dr. Linda Green. Ms. Bradford received numerous awards from her career as an educator as well as awards for her volunteer work with AARP and the American Red Cross of Pine Bluff. Ms. Bradford was a dedicated member of St. John A.M.E. Church of Pine Bluff, Ark. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Levada Parker Mason of Little Rock, Ark.; sister/cousin Mary Brown of Gary, Ind.; step-sister Carolyn Easter of Little Rock, Ark.; nephew/son Michael (Sarah) Mason of Little Rock; nephew/son Darryl Mason Muskogee; Okla., and great-nephew/son Derrick (Cara) Mason Little Rock; nieces Makylin Mason, Fayetteville, Ark.; Molly Galloway, Champagne, Ill., and Britney Fisher Shelton, Norfolk, Va. A host of nieces and nephews and a special lifelong friend Mattie Collins. A Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 at Rest in Peace Memorial Garden in Hensley, Ark., by Rev.
