John Vernon Frost of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with his Lord & Savior, Saturday, October 22, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. John was 87 years old. John was born in Alabama City, Alabama, January 4, 1929 to Raleigh Jackson and Carrie (Allmon) Frost. In September of 1951, John married the love of his life Patricia Ann Richmond. They enjoyed 63 years together raising two wonderful children and delighted in being grandparents. John was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. John loved hunting and fishing. John leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters, Pandora Bray and husband James of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Rita DeVito of Melissa, Texas. Grandpa will forever remain in the hearts of his grandson, Corey Bray and wife Sasha and great granddaughter, Haley Bray. John will be missed by his sister, Sarah Autry of Heavener, Oklahoma; three brothers, James Russell Frost of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Robert Earl Frost of Waldron, Arkansas, and Howard "Buddy" Frost of Snowflake, Arizona. John will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including an extended family of nieces, nephews, friends & loved ones. John was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Frost; parents, Raleigh Jackson Frost and Carrie Frost; four sisters, Evelyn Frost, Jenny Lou Cummings, Cornelia Ann Weaver, Bonnie Sue Beyard; four brothers, Daniel B. Frost, William Dewey Frost, Follis Tony Frost, and Charley Frost. John's life celebration will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Robert McDaniel and Rev. Roy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Hawkins Cemetery in Parks, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. John's pallbearers will be Marty Weaver, Danny Frost, Donald Frost, Bill Frost, Daniel Frost and Billy Frost. His honorary pallbearers will be John Keener, Susie Frost, Denise Thompson, Raleigh Mack Frost,and Gene Autry. John's visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where John's family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. John's family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Health & Rehab of Hot Springs,staff at Saint Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, and Arkansas Hospice - Saint Vincent in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
