Margaret "Peggy" Davis, 84, of North Little Rock passed away October 23, 2016. She was born June 27, 1932 to the late Claude and Viola Sanders in Sherrill, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William "Bill" Davis; two sisters, Betty Jo Sanders and Hedy McNeill. She is survived by her daughters, Terry Stafford (Ray) and Susan Denette (Don); grandchildren, Michael Stafford (Michelle), Greg Stafford (Allison), Craig Denette (Katie) and Russell Denette (Aryn); great-grandchildren, Will, Alex, Connor, Maddie, Emily and Iris; brother, Craig Sanders and other extended family. She will be remembered for her love of God, church and family. She was a loving, devoted mother, nanny and great-nanny. Her family never left her house without enjoying her delicious food. She was a gifted pianist and had a deep appreciation of music which she passed on to her grandsons. Peggy was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught 3rd grade Sunday school and vacation bible school. She loved serving in the church and working with children and other outreach ministries. Peggy was passionate about making sure the next generation read the Bible. She worked at Southwestern Bell for over 30 years, beginning as Inventory Clerk in 1951 and retiring as Assistant Manager over Investment and Cost in 1986. The family would like to give a special thanks to Stonehaven Assisted Living for their loving care for the past five years and to Arkansas Hospice for their support. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Burial will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
