Roy Lee Webb, 86, passed away October 22, 2016 in Greenwood, Louisiana surrounded by his loving daughters, Quana and Carolyn. He was born March 26, 1930 in Faulkner County to Floyd Wesley and Esther Grace Collar Webb. Roy Lee was one of 11 children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Jean Haynie Webb; brothers, Harold, Donald, Jack and Wendell; and sisters, Lois Webb Baker and Patsy Webb Bailey. Roy is survived by daughters, Quana Webb Moore and Carolyn Webb Rasner of Greenwood, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jeremy Moore (Miranda) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Sarah Hendrix (Justin) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lindsey Moore of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Torin and Lola Hendrix of Little Rock, Arkansas, Chamberlin and Ava Moore of Bossier City, Louisiana; brothers, Wilbur Webb (Montine) of Vilonia, Arkansas and Wayne Webb (Fern) of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and sisters, Jean Rushin of Little Rock and Marilyn Crow (Louis) of Vilonia, Arkansas. Dad was a "Gentle Giant" that loved to talk, he never met a stranger. He grew a magnificent garden for many years in the city that made people marvel. He loved to hunt, play golf, and take vacations with his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. After receiving his basic training in Fort Hood, Texas, he later achieved the rank of Sergeant. After serving his country he began a career with Arkansas Best Freight where he retired after 42 years of service. He married the love of his life, Billie Jean Haynie and they were married for 56 years until her death. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211 (501) 224-8300 with Pastor James McClintock officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
