Thelma Markham Risk of North Little Rock died October 26, 2016. She was born on August 25, 1930 to the late Thomas and Ethel Poole Markham. She was a homemaker and retired school teacher for the North Little Rock School District. Thelma had a compassionate heart and loved the Lord, her family, and her church . She was a 57 year member of Park Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served in many other areas of ministry in the life of the church. Thelma was a loving wife and mother who was totally devoted to her family. She loved gardening and took delight in her flowers. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles Risk; son, Michael Risk (Katie) of Mountain Home; daughter, Kathy Love (Mike) of Heber Springs; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jake Love. Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church Youth Department, 201 East C. Ave., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 or Soaring Wings Ranch, P.O. Box 1670 Conway, Ark. 72033. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday October 28, 2016, before the funeral service held at 10 a.m, at Park Hill Baptist Church.
