Duval James "Jim" Herbert

Duvall James "Jim" Herbert, 77 of Rogers passed away Tuesday Oct. 25, 2016 at the Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. Jim was born the son of Floyd G. Herbert and Eula Hebert Herbert on Aug. 16, 1939 in Port Arthur, Texas. In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded by his brother Jack Herbert. Jim's surviving family include his wife Donna Herbert of Ark.; sister Jarie Vaconovsky of Calif.; daughter Gina Herbert of Ark.; son Ed Herbert of Fla.; step daughters Denise Sudduth of Ark., Kathy Rahlwes of Calif., Shannon Edens of Ark., and Jennifer McMahon of Mo. Including six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends. After graduating high school, Jim began a career lasting over forty years as a professional truck driver for Smurfit/Stone retiring in 2002. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, playing golf, and simply cooking on the grill. Celebration of his life will be held at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, AR from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2016.
