Glen Wade Buchanan

Glen Wade Buchanan, 91, of Benton passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. He was born Dec. 21, 1924 in Hobart, Okla., to the late Claud and Elizabeth Marler Buchanan. He married Lois Virginia Seabaugh on June 2, 1948 at Hickory Ridge, Ark. Mr. Buchanan was a member and Elder at Northside Church of Christ where he also taught bible school. He is survived by four daughters, Donna Carpenter (Bob) of Edmond, Okla., LaNell Womack (Roy) of Benton, Ark., Glenda Buchanan of Benton, Ark., and Barbara Saffell (Brent) of Broken Arrow, Okla.; four granddaughters, Kelly Carpenter Barneche (Mark) of Lausanne, Switzerland, Cris Carpenter Gomes (Franciney) of Natal, Brazil, Kayla Saffell Goodrich (Scott) of Edmond, Okla., and Emily Saffell of New Orleans, La., one great grandson, Lucas Gomes of Natal, Brazil born 9/27/2016 and one great grandchild due in February, 2017. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Oct. 31, 2016 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Jim Gardner officiating.
