Ken Tillman

Ken Tillman, 70, of Searcy, passed away October 27, 2016 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born March 21, 1946 to the late Kenneth Ray Tillman Sr. and Willie Maud Joyce Tillman. Mr. Tillman was a member of College Church of Christ in Searcy. He graduated Lakeside High School in Lake Village, Ark., in 1964 and Harding College in 1968 with a BA in Business Administration. He served in the United States Air Force from 1968-1971; and retired from the Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation in Little Rock after 35 years. He was a nature lover, and enjoyed fishing and bird watching. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Anita Tillman Talkington. He married Karen Wylie Tillman April 5, 1969 at Mary Esther, Fla.; she survives. He is also survived by a son, Jared Tillman of Maumelle, Ark.; daughter, Allison Tillman of Searcy, Ark.; and sister, Laura Tillman of Hot Springs, Ark.; two honorary grandchildren, Gracie Ling and Cassie Ling both of Searcy; as well as a host of friends and extended family.The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at College Church of Christ in Searcy.
