Monica Faye Nash

Monica Faye Nash, 47, of East End, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 31, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born February 27, 1969. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold G. Nash. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Nash, who cared for Monica only the way a mother can, with such joy, compassion, love and loyalty. Caring for Monica became her purpose in life on that fateful day in July 1986, she did with honor and grace for 30 years. She is also survived by her aunt, Omega "Peggy" Ashley; sisters, Rhonda (Gary) Young, Marsha (Carl) Cole and Angie Jackson, all of East End; and by many nieces and nephews. Monica was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt. She was a member of East End Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, September 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 3, at 11 a.m. at East End Baptist Church, Pastor Doug Hibbard officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brent Weatherly, Danny Jackson, Brad Jackson, Blain Jackson, Zachary Jackson and Joe O'Bryan. Honorary pallbearer is Kevin Young.
