JACQUELYN RAE BRILEY, 66, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully and with courage on Aug. 31, 2016. Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Benjamin Ray Briley; son, Ryan Briley of Little Rock; daughter, Brittany Briley of Tucson, Ariz.; granddaughter, Eden Rain of Little Rock. Jacque was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend throughout her entire life. Her parents, Luther and Margaret Jones, blessed this world with her birth on Oct. 27, 1949 in Pauls Valley, Okla. Jacque then spent most of her childhood and early adult years living in Moore, Okla. She attended Oklahoma Central State University in Edmond where she received her degree in Education. She then met her husband, Ben, in 1972 and they eventually moved to Little Rock, Ark. Jacque worked for over 30 years in Pulaski County Special School District and received her Masters in Special Education. Anyone that knew her also knew that she was an animal lover and worked diligently for animal rights. In 1978, Jacque was named the "Humane Educator of the Year" by the Humane Society of the United States. Jacque was a lover! She loved to travel all around the world with her friends and family! For many years, including this year, her and her husband would take trips every spring to Europe. In her later years, she fell in the love with the music of Josh Groban and traveled and supported his music and charity for over 10 years. She met so many friends "Grobies" of a lifetime and traveled the world and this past April she traveled to South Africa and Australia with her "Grobie" friends! Jacque will always be remembered and live in our hearts forever. She will be remembered for her unconditional love to all, her faith in God, her laugh, her smile and the way she truly lived life to the fullest! She was a true warrior who fought with great strength and continued to live her life in complete JOY. She was surrounded by love and through witnessing her journey with cancer- may we all learn to live life to the fullest by living through her own example of divine love, life and laughter! She is already so greatly missed but we feel her presence and know that we will one day meet again! We will be having a gathering to bare witness to her amazing life with a "Celebration of Remembrance" on Tuesday Sept. 6, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. (Drop in) with stories and sharing at 6:30 p.m. Location 12900 Rivercrest Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72212.
