Mrs. Dorothy Pree, 86, quietly slept away at her home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 surrounded by her family. This precious lady was the epitome of motherhood endearing herself to her family, coworkers and friends. She was born in Brunswick, Ga., April 11, 1930. A graduate of the AM&N in Pine Bluff, Ark. She taught school for more than 25 years, beginning her career in Camden, Ark. and from there to Carver Elementary School and retired from Kilpatrick Elementary in Texarkana, Ark. she also served as a mentor in the TISD. Mrs. Pree was A loyal member of the Tower of Power Ministries; a soror of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Texarkana Alumnae Chapter and Order of the Eastern Star State Line Chapter #19, Pandora Club, Debonair and Federation Club. She was married to the late James E. Pree. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Clara Parker and a brother, Hugh Parker. She leaves to grieve her passing: sons, James W. Pree and wife Debra of Texarkana, Ark.; George Pree of Jacksonville, Ark. and William Clayborne Pree of Texarkana, Ark.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services: Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Haynes Mortuary. Graveside Services: Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Gardens – Texarkana, Ark. Rev. David Watson - officiating.
