Patricia E. McClain

Patricia E. McClain, 70, of Batesville died Monday, September 5, 2016, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Born January 4, 1946 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of Merrill Marshall and Pat Marshall. Pat was a graduate of Cabot High School, Arkansas Baptist School of Nursing, and Harding University. A Registered Nurse, Certified Occupational Health Nurse, and life coach, her compassion was extended to many. A member of First Baptist Church, Batesville, she was a woman of integrity and a truth teller. A devoted wife, parent, grandparent and friend, she was loving and sensible. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles Morris McClain, Jr.; five children, Charles "Chuck" Morris McClain, III (Stacy); Lori C. McClain; David M. McClain (Carey); Julie A. Marth (Tom), and Jennie E. Beard (Jay); eight grandchildren, Charles "Charlie" Morris McClain, IV; Zach McClain, Eleanor McClain of Batesville; Jake McClain of Conway; Henry Marth and Anna Marth of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and Owen Beard and Claire Beard of Maumelle. Other survivors include her parents, Merrill and Ila Mae Marshall of Cabot, Thomas and Martha Marshall of Cabot; and Kenneth and Cathy Marshall of Mena, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church, Batesville from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, Thursday with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will follow at Mr. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.
