Roy Allen Hilton, 84, of Russellville, Ark., died Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Ark. The son of Edward and Euple Shipman Hilton, he was born January 10, 1932 in Clarkton, Mo He was a graduate of East Prairie High School East in Prairie, MO. He was a small business owner and customer relations. His accomplishments included working in hurricane Katrina relief effort, volunteer policeman, youth sponsor, avid blood donor. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a Korean Veteran's organization sponsor, Razorback fan, Cardinal fan, and enjoyed travelling. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Joe Forehand Hilton his parents; four brothers; Fay, Maurice, Gerald and Jimmy; four sisters; Wilma Douglas, Mary James, Geraldine McDaniel and Betty Jean Walker. Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Mark A. Hilton of Hoboken, N.J. and Michael R. Hilton of Russellville, Ark.; a sister Mildred Freda Simmons of Indiana; six grandchildren, Michelle Hilton, Daniel Hilton, Sarah Krzak, Morgana Neumann, Chris Krzak and Emily Byrum; great-granddaughter, Athena Neumann and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on Thursday with Service to follow at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Steve Mosley will officiate. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Pope County Memorial Chair: Judy Murphy 126 Lakeview Circle, Russellville, Ark. 72801 Internment with full military honors for both Roy and his wife, Betty Joe will be at 11 a.m. Monday September 12, 2016, at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark. by Humphrey Funeral Service.
