Doris Goodman Burkett

Doris Goodman Burkett, 95, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of North Little Rock, Ark., completed her assignment on Earth as a caring and compassionate angel and returned to Heaven on September 3, 2016. She was born to the late William Everett and Beulah Erma Slaten Goodman on April 7, 1921 in Romance, Ark. She married Troy Eudell Burkett in 1939 and they shared a life of love and joy for 54 years. She is survived by daughter, Carolyn Chapman and son-in-law, William Earl Chapman of Lubbock, Texas; granddaughter, Alexis Meredith Sparling of Brooklyn, N.Y. and grandson, Kurt Chapman and family of Post, Texas, as well as, other extended family members.
