Kelta Lee Keathley Walters, age 56, of Conway, passed away on September 5, 2016 in Beebe, Ark. Kelta was born on December 30th, 1959 to Kelton and Robbie (Bell) Keathley. Upon her graduation from Beebe High School in 1978, Kelta attended ASU-Beebe where she was accepted early to U of A Pharmacy School. Kelta left pharmacy school and joined the U.S. Navy. She was stationed in Meridian, Miss. as a PN2 until her honorable medical discharge. Kelta returned to Arkansas and began working again as a title clerk in her family's auto auction in Little Rock until it was sold. At the center of Kelta's life was her love for animals and her friends and family. She was an avid horseman and showed horses as long as she was able. She loved animals because they loved her unconditionally. Kelta will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and friend. Kelta never met a stranger and was willing to do anything for the people she loved. Kelta's greatest joy in life was raising her daughter, Kristen. Kelta was a fierce and gentle soul. Kelta is survived by her daughter, Kristen Lee Walters of Conway; her parents, H. Kelton and Robbie Keathley of Beebe; her brother, James Keathley and his wife, Nea of Mt. Vernon; her sister, LuLynn Richards and her husband, James Richards of Beebe; her step-daughter Jodi Lovette and her husband, Patrick of Mississippi; her step-son Jamie Walters of Mississippi; her nieces and nephews Amy Sword, Blake Keathley, Taylor Keathley, J.T. Richards, Kaden Richards, and Katherine Richards. Kelta was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Arthur and Irma (Lasley) Bell of Enola; H.E. and Alma (Clanton) Keathley of Beebe; and a brother Harold K Keathley II of Mt. Vernon. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Beebe, 302 N Main, with Ministers Kim Leach and James Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home.
