Luanita "Nita" Vorsas

Luanita "Nita" Vorsas, 74, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, September 6th. Born on September 5, 1942 to parents Noel A. and Roxie L. Stone, Nita was a resident of the North Little Rock & Searcy area. She was of the Assembly of God faith. Nita was a wonderful, caring and compassionate mother, loved by all who met her. She loved to garden, socialize, play games and especially cooking for family and sharing meals with friends. She was famous for her Louisiana Corn Cake and Mexican Cornbread. Most of all, she loved spending time talking with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy C. Stone. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Andrews of Searcy; son, Timothy Vorsas and daughter-in-law, Heather of Maumelle; sister, Virginia (Thomas) Shirley of Clinton and brother, Danny (Rita) Stone of Sherwood. A Celebration of Life service honoring Nita will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Community Room at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock.
