Nannette Shinn

Nannette Shinn, of Jefferson, passed away on September 8, 2016, in Little Rock, Ark., surrounded by her family. Nannette is survived by her children, Tami DeLaHunt and Mike Shinn; her partner, Joe Stikeleather; four grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, and Adam Peterson, and Ashten Shinn; and two great-grandchildren, Landen and Adelaide Peterson. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Edith and Leo Arnold. Nannette was born on October 11, 1934. She graduated from White Hall High School in 1952 and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Her career in the telephone industry was one of her biggest accomplishments. She was named Miss Arkansas Pioneer in 1989 and retired from AT&T after a more than 35-year career shortly thereafter. Her funeral service will be at Cranford Funeral Home in White Hall on Tuesday afternoon, September 13, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, she would want donations sent to United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas.
