Bobbye Ruth Byrd

Bobbye Ruth Nisler Byrd, age 89, of Morrilton, passed away, Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born April 13, 1927 in Morrilton, a daughter of the late Robert Nisler and Ruth Hamm Nisler. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Morrilton, Audra Basham Guild, and a board member for the Conway County Center for Exceptional Children. She was the widow of W.O. "Dub" Byrd. Survivors include one daughter, Martha Frits (Drew) of Springdale; granddaughter, Lucinda Dorminy (Sean) of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Rob Frits (Laney) of Springdale; granddaughter, Christy Norwood (Brad) of Springdale; grandson, Andrew Frits of Tucson, Arizona; eight great-grandchildren, Bailey Anne, Laurel, and Wilson Dorminy, Landon and Presley Frits, Brycen, Braxton, and Blair Norwood; and a special family friend, Ruby Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her son, Andy Byrd. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Ruby Lafayette, Yvette Parker, Amber Trezvant, Susan Salard, and Jodi Bowling. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Morrilton with Rev. Katie Pearce officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Conway County Center for Exceptional Children or First United Methodist Church of Morrilton. Pallbearers will be Doug Cahill, Marlin Boyle, Fred Tanner, Mark Stobaugh, Tommy Huett, and Jamie Huett. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
