Elizabeth Irene (Stumpf Gann) Moore was carried by angels to be with her Lord on September 13, 2016. She was born in Newark, New Jersey on January 21, 1922 and is predeceased by her parents, Conrad and Kasmira Stumpf, one brother, Fred Stumpf, one sister, Ilona Venturini, and her first husband Charles Ralph Gann, whom she met and married in Miami, Florida, during WWII. She served in the Women's Army Corp (WAC) as a Corporal. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Julius Moore, her four children, Patricia Keller (John), Elaine Babb (Joe), Charles Gann (Betty) and Michael Gann (Cindy). She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Scott Keller, Rob Keller (Kathryn), and Tighe Keller (Sunnie), Jamie Partain (Phillip), Andrew Babb (Rachel), great-grandchildren, Seth Keller, Erica Keller, Tyce Keller, Cailley Partain, Jacob Partain, Madeline Babb, Sydney Babb and Allison Gann. Elizabeth worked as an LPN for many years at Baptist Medical Center (BMC) in the Emergency Room, always cool, calm and deliberate in her work. Before and after her retirement from BMC, she became a well-known competitive runner, winning many distance awards in her age division. She ran for 30 years and broke many records in her age group including a record for 60 year old women in the 5K distance. While competing in the Senior Olympics she met her husband Julius, also a runner whom she married on April 19, 2000. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, at 2 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock.
