Betty Lou Terry-Owens passed peacefully on Sept. 13, 2016 with her family beside her. She was born on Oct. 10, 1941 in Hot Springs, Ark., to Isaac and Nobie Terry, who she will join in heaven. She is survived by her husband, Ray Owens; her brother, Bill (Connie) Terry of Hot Springs, Ark.; a sister Debbie Bryant of Little Rock, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in 1959. She was happily married to the love of her life, Ray Owens, for fifty-four years. They were blessed with three children, Rick Owens of Glennwood, Ark., Corey (Deborah) Owens, of Boerne, Texas, and Stefani (Kent) Nelson, of Chicago. Betty worked as a heart monitor technician at St. Joseph hospital in Hot Springs, Ark., until she retired in 2002. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always had a kind word and was willing to help those in need. She also had a great testimony of her heavenly father and a respect for God's hand in her life. Betty was a dedicated friend, and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
