LYNN RITA DAVIS (former Lamb), of Jacksonville, on Sept. 16, 2016 she peacefully passed into eternal rest, after a long struggle with kidney failure. Lynn was born June 21, 1950 in Norwich, England to Joan Burnham of Norwich, England and Raymond Verland Lamb of Lamona, Wash. At five years old she came to the U.S. and became a naturalized citizen in 1967. On Nov. 16, 1968, she married Randy Davis of Lufkin, Texas, in Okinawa. After forty seven years of marriage they lived in Washington state, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Arkansas and twice in England. Lynn actively participated in Red Cross activities, volunteered for elementary school projects, dedicated her time and services to family readiness/ support centers and various enlisted wives organizations. She was frequently recognized and awarded certificates of achievement for her efforts. In 1996, Lynn and Randy returned to Arkansas after Randy retired from the Air Force at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. He began working for the Post Office and she a sales associate at the Jacksonville Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2012. Lynn was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Raymond Lamb, Aunt Vera and Uncle Denny Harrison of Norwich, England. Lynn is survived by her husband, Randy, daughter; Dina Davis, sons; Anthony Davis(Angilique), Michael Davis( Autumn), five grandchildren; two brothers and numerous British and American cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
