J.R. Weatherly, age 79, of Solgohachia, passed away September 18, 2016. He was born January 23, 1937 in Selmer, Tenn., to the late Joe & Mattie (Stracener) Weatherly. He is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Willis, Horace, Joe Jr., Russell, Dearl, and Carol; sister JoAnn; and twin siblings, Ray and Fay. J.R. is survived by his wife Cynthia Ann (Flesher) Weatherly; children, Dennis, Carmen, Douglas, Lora and Angela; siblings Trumann, Nola, Ruthie, Sandra, and Bernell; and grandchildren Luke, Nicholas, Marlena, Emily and Abigail; along with many other family members and friends. Visitation 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 22 at the funeral home. Funeral services 10 a.m., Friday, September 23, at 16th Section United Methodist Church in Austin, and interment at May Cemetery in Houston, Ark.
