Dorothy Ermal Strode

Dorothy Ermal Strode, 89, of Springdale, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home. She was born April 9, 1927 in Madison County, Arkansas to Noble and Cora Watson Tice. Dorothy worked at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and also work at the Springdale Airport Café. She enjoyed mowing her yard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Kinner king and her second husband Orlin Strode: her parents; by her siblings, Irene Sims, Raymond Tice, Luther Tice, Zelbert Tice, Katherine Bohannon and daughter Lenora Faye King. Survivors include one son, Jesse King of Springdale; one daughter, Ruth Poorker of Springdale; two brothers, Kenneth Tice of Springdale and Harl Tice and wife Elsie of Springdale; two sisters, Loretta Kurtsinger of Georgia and Verline Walker and husband William of Lynn, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kristie Rennee King of Tulsa Oklahoma, John Russell of Springdale and Serree Barrows and husband Scott of Tontitown; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Apostolic Church in Springdale with Pastor Darrell Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluff Cemetery.
