Lucy Hamman

Lucy Hamman, 86, of Austin, Ark., went to be with her husband, Allen, on September 21, 2016. Born March 17, 1930 in Effingham, Ill., later moving to Oklahoma where she met and married the love of her life, Allen Hamman. A beloved wife and mother of five children, she had a strength and determination that was seen in the way she loved her family and the way they loved and respected her. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Allen, and six siblings. Surviving are her five children, Vickie Large, Treasa Dent, Shirley (Don) Land, JoAnn (Patrick) Gunter and Byron Hamman; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Clarice Cogswell and Peggy (Hank) Meier and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Gentiva Hospice or 16th Section United Methodist Church in her memory. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 24th at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, NLR. Burial immediately following in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
