Helen Thomas

Helen Marie Thomas, age 85, of Benton, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was born July 27, 1931 in Benton, Arkansas. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Andrew Howard and Verda Lee Howard; husband, James Fredrick Thomas and two sisters, Ruby Hobbs and Louise Mangum. She is survived by five sons, Keith Thomas (Corinne), Allen Thomas (Nina), Mark Thomas (Sharon), Karl Thomas (Carla) and Ralph Warren (Sherry) all of Benton; sister, Jewell Dean Ballard of Ft. Smith; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 27 at Ashby Funeral Home.
