Karen Louise Kuckuck

Karen Louise Kuckuck died in Bethesda, Maryland on September 27, 2016, from complications of leukemia. She was 32. Karen was born on April 2, 1984, in Montreal, Canada to William Frederick Kuckuck and Betty Louise Kuckuck. She grew up in Canada, South Korea, and Hong Kong while her father was engaged in business overseas. Karen eventually moved to Fayetteville in 1996, where she graduated from Fayetteville Senior High School in 2001. In 2005, she also graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor's degree in psychology and human development. Karen enjoyed traveling, learning languages, cooking, and many other activities. She was also an avid animal lover. In recent years, Karen was living in Silver Spring, Maryland near her father, stepmother Joni Kuckuck, and brother Jeffrey Kuckuck, all of whom reside in Washington, DC. In addition to her father, stepmother, and brother, Karen is survived by sisters Erin Free, Chrissie Barrick, and Michelle Getty; and cousins Erin Bristol, Daniel Kuckuck, David Kuckuck, Elena Kuckuck, Brian Lamb, Kevin Lamb, Spencer Lamb, Bridget MacKenna, Rebecca MacKenna, and Amanda Mittermann. Karen was preceded in death by her mother.
