Charles D. Steigler Jr., 67, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2017. He was born in Hot Springs to the late Charles D. and E.B. Steigler. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Robin D. Steigler; daughters, Alison A. (Ryan) Moyle and Lauren D. Roberts; grandchildren, Lucy C. Moyle, Annabelle D. Moyle and Nicholas C. Roberts; sister Diane S. (Bill) Jarrell; and many wonderful extended family members. His family and his friends meant the world to him. A lifetime commitment to helping people defined who he was as a person. Charles was a member of First United Methodist Church, he also attended the University of Arkansas earning a degree in Finance and Banking, and was a serious Razorback fan. Charles spent over 40 years in the financial services industry, where he loved helping clients obtain their goals, capping out his last 16 years of his career as a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors. He absolutely loved the financial path and developed many lasting client relationships. Charles was involved and committed to Abilities Unlimited of Hot Springs, where he served as a board member since 2002, and President of the board for two of those years. He also served on the First Step On Our Own Board as well as many other organizations and associations over his career. He loved playing golf with his friends and boating on Lake Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Bassett of Topeka, Kansas, Mel Davis of Little Rock, Steve Burns, Carl Crow, Craig Keaton, Chris Skrivanos, Dr. Robert Tucker, and Gary Westerman, all of Hot Springs. Special thanks to Charles' family at Wells Fargo Advisors. Also a special thanks to Dr. Lynn Cleveland, Dr. John Webb, Dr. Steven Halter, the medical staff of CHI St. Vincent, Kindred at Home and Arkansas Hospice. A Celebration of Charles' Life will be held at First United Methodist Church on April 10 at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Moseley and Rev. David Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
