Roger M. Hawk

ROGER M. HAWK, of Little Rock, died April 10, 2017. Roger was born Aug. 10, 1941 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Bernard and Betty Hawk. Roger attended the University of Illinois on a full Navy scholarship. He served six years in the Navy, and upon graduation, attended the University of Michigan where he received his PH.D in Chemistry. He worked at Diamond-Shamrock Corp. in their R&D Department. He was the Chairman of the Electronics Department at ITT Technical Institute (ITT) in Little Rock. Before joining ITT, Roger was Faculty Member/Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) for twenty-three years. He was the Chairman of the Applied Science Department for the last nine years at UALR. Roger was also involved in many other enterprises. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hawk; mother, Betty Hawk; one brother, Robert Hawk; five nephews; one niece, and seven great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Mark Hawk. Cremation will be followed by a memorial at a later date. Interment at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
