Jerry Wayne Oglesby, 72, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away April 14, 2017. He was born in Hot Springs at the St. Joseph Hospital Aug. 13, 1944. Although his childhood was not ideal, he grew up to be a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and friend. Jerry loved people and he loved life and got a joy out of life telling his "big yarns" to anyone that would listen. He was predeceased by four very special people in his life, Grover and Faye Douglas and Raymond and Mildred Johnson. Jerry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters and spouses, Ramona and Allen Tucker of Cabot, Sarah and James Taylor of Hot Springs, Stephanie and Todd Noles of Jessieville; son, Josh and Robin Tucker of Waxahachie, Texas; grandchildren, Shane Taylor, Megan Taylor, Jacob Tucker, Vicki Noles, Greg Noles, Cayden Noles; brothers, Joe Oglesby, Dewayne Oglesby, Larry Tabor; and very special friends, Mike and Janet Foshee. A celebration of Jerry's life will be 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Please come and tell us of your favorite Jerry story.
