Nellie Geneva Parr Taylor

Mrs. Nellie Geneva Parr Taylor, age 102 of Benton, Ark., former longtime resident of Forrest City died on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Mrs. Taylor was born on March 28, 1915 in Covington, Tenn. She was the daughter of William Murray Parr Sr. and Trudy Ware Parr. Mrs. Taylor had worked for many years with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City and active in the Women's Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Taylor married Robert Lee Taylor in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by a son, William R. Taylor on Benton; a grandson, Byron L. Taylor of Gulfshore, Ala.; and a great-grandson, Alexander "Lex" Robert Taylor of Carmel, Calif. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City, burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. before the service.
