William Dale Hill

William Dale Hill, age 87, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on April 16, 2017. He was born December 17, 1929 in Memphis, Tenn. Mr. Hill was a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a retired Major in the US Army National Guard and he also was a retired music minister serving numerous churches in Arkansas. Following his retirement Mr. Hill owned and operated a Christmas tree farm and was an avid Razorback fan. He never met a stranger and will always be remembered as a loving, sweet spirited man. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Frances Hill, his children, Richard Hill (Diane), Randy Hill, David Hill (Peggy), Susan Valovich (David), 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church in Sherwood with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
