Alvin (Les) Cypert, 92, of Little Rock, passed away, April 16, 2017. He was born January 7, 1925 to Prather and Jane McHughes Cypert. Les was a Veteran and served on the USS Maryland in WWII. He belonged to the American Legion and was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maxine Cypert; daughter, Carrolene Phipps; grandson, Bradley Cypert; brother, Carl Cypert; half-brother, Allen Seymour. Les is survived by son, Maurice Cypert (Robyn); daughter, Quinda Holder (John); grandchildren, Carla Davies (John); Cherri Smith, Windy Lynn (Andy), Robyn Eskola, Blake Gateley (John), Justin Holder (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren, Terra and Hannah Lynn, John Michael Eskola, Garrett Davies, Anjonette Rose, Amber Smith, and Tyler Phipps. The family would especially like to thank, Martha Stewart for her years of love, dedication, friendship and service. Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
