Morgan Kelsey DuPree 27, Benton, Ark. Our girl fought valiantly with God's strength sustaining her from age 11 when she was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, had both knees replaced by 16, and struggled all of her adult life with this chronic disease, and finally contracted a rare autoimmune disorder associated only with those having rheumatoid arthritis and a few other maladies. She was so strong, and lived in constant pain, but most would've never known. She surprised all the doctors with her will to fight. In September 2016 we were told she wouldn't survive given her condition- Kelsey wanted to fight- so we persevered, walking with her through the long hard battle for 16 months in the hospital. Her long struggle was ended by God's grace and mercy April 18th, 2017. Kelsey was a sinner in need of God's grace and mercy which He showed her in her last few years of her short life. He took her brokenness, and returned 'beauty for ashes' as she impacted many people with her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and sharp wit. She was well loved by many, and struggled as we all do in this 'veil of tears'. She knew brokenness, and sought to share that with others. God used her struggles to save one person from suicide, encouraged many to keep going in their own illnesses including cancer, and even used her walk thru all of her own darkness of brokenness to turn some back to Him. She was a difference maker. Eric and Shellie DuPree were graced with the blessing of her life in 1990, and she went on to become 'Sissy' to Mia Dupree, Maci Dupree, and Harper DuPree. She will be sorely missed by her Grammy, PePaw Sam, MeMaw, PePaw Bill, PePaw Ron, Mamie & Scott, and many other loved ones and friends. She was also graced with a few close friends Doyle Shellnut, and Carmen Broadway who walked faithfully with her during her battle. Special thanks to John D. Fuller M.D., and Joel Dworkin M.D. who were tenacious and dedicated to helping our girl to recover- they fought valiantly as well. Visitation is Friday April 21st at Fellowship Bible Church in Benton 6-8 p.m., and Celebration of Life service is Saturday, April 22nd at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers our family asks that you donate to Arkansas Childrens Hospital and St. Jude's Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.
