Harold D. Mize

Harold D. Mize, 84, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died April 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born February 11, 1933 in Wichita, Kansas to Eldon and Mabel Mize. Harold served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955. He retired from the Telephone Company in Sterling, Kansas after 30+ years as a technician. Harold had a love for trains. He was much loved by family and all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 57 years, Alyene Mize; son, Jeffrey Mize and wife, Melody of Fayetteville, Arkansas: daughter, Tami Smith and husband, Ronnie of Hutchinson, Kansas; brother, Nolan Mize of Clearwater, Kansas; sister, Juanita Howell of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Kristen Mize, Cole Mize and fiancée, KayCee, Kalee Mize Bates and husband, Bryan, Rodney Smith, Tahnee Smith, Sydnee Smith; great-granddaughters, Emery Maye Bates and Preslie Reign Mize. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 2nd at Bella Vista Baptist Church, 50 E. Lancashire Blvd, Bella Vista, Ark. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
