Celeste Wesinger Daugherty

Celeste Wesinger Daugherty, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, after spending the day in joyous family celebration when her grandson married. She was taken ill suddenly and passed away with the prayers of her family surrounding her. She was born May 29, 1937, in Stuttgart to Rhinehart Herbert Wesinger and Alta Fern Schrock Wesinger. She was a 1955 graduate of Stuttgart High School where she was elected homecoming queen. She married Don S. Daugherty on March 3, 1956, and had just celebrated 61 beautiful years together. To this union were born three children, Dawn, David (who preceded her in death) and Dean Daugherty (wife Edie). She had three grandchildren, Shea Higgerson, Sidney Robnett (wife Katie) and Mackenzie Daugherty (wife Cheyenne). She also had a great-grandchild, Emma Gray Robnett, and one sister, Margie Wesinger of Little Rock and special friend Jesse Phillips. She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church where she loved being on all kinds of committees and entertaining her Esther Sunday school class. She loved being with all her friends, going to lunch with her birthday girls and the "Majestic Girls". She was blessed and loved by so many friends and her good buddy Major Robnett. A memorial celebration, officiated by Dr. Sam Roberts, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with visitation following in the Activity Center. Burial will be private by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 2115 S.
