Bobbie Ann Green Parham, 81 of Fordyce, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017. She was born May 31, 1936 in Dallas County, Ark., to the late Robert W. Green and Emily Lois House Green. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother Winfield Green. She graduated from Fordyce High School in 1954. She attended Southern State College (now SAU) and graduated from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville. She was a 4th grade teacher in Fordyce for 34 years. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Fordyce, where she served on the church council. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Lighthouse Beacons, and the Mary Mays Circle where she was awarded a plaque for 24 years of service as the group's treasurer. She was also a member of the Memorial Committee, SRRC Committee, Sesame Club, Dallas County Medical Center Auxiliary and the Dallas County Teachers Association. She served as a volunteer at the Dallas County Medical Center and the Dallas County Museum. She is survived by her husband Robert W. Parham Sr. of Fordyce; her son Robert W. "Robin" Parham Jr and wife Kathy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and several cousins. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10-11 a.m., at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
