Jimmy Rhea James, a confident, sincere, loyal, honest and fiercely loving man, was called home on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the age of 59. He was born July 12, 1958 in Little Rock, the son of the late Helen (Lynn) James and Ellis Monroe James, Jr. Jimmy had a lot of loves in his life; hunting, fishing and music to name a few, but nothing came close to his number one love, his family. Jimmy is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 36 years, Denise (Reed) James; his daughter, Melissa Peeples and husband Randy of Cabot; grandson, Randal "Clyde" Peeples of Cabot; father, Ellis M. James Jr. (Ruth Amy) of Benton; brother, Ellis M. James III (Patti) of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Kim Scott (Vance) of Bryant and a host of extended family and friends who adored him. A celebration of Jimmy's life will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church (163 Mount Carmel Rd. Cabot, Ark. 72023) Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers are Skip James, Vance Scott, Randy Peeples, Sam Wright, Preston Robinson, Fletcher Calvert and Ronnie Robinson. Memorial gifts may be made in Jimmy's memory to the National Suicide Prevention Life Line (suicidepreventionlifeline.org). Our family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to J.B. Hunt Transport for the continuous love and support they have shown to Jimmy and our family throughout his 31 year career and especially over the last 13 months.
