Margie Faye Crowder Williams, age 96, of Solgohachia, Arkansas, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born September 27, 1920, in Overcup, Arkansas, a daughter to the late King Victor Crowder and Minnie Hill Crowder. She was the widow of Hollis Marrow Williams, was a cook for Morrilton Schools, and of the Baptist faith. She was the oldest member of Kilgore Freewill Baptist Church and the last descendant of the King Victor Crowder family. She cooked at Northside Elementary School for ten years making 500 rolls a day for the children's lunches. She is survived by her sons, Porter V. Williams and Harold (Jannette) Williams all of Solgohachia; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Other than her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin, Merrell, Elbert, and J.R. Crowder; and by one sister, Ida Hubbard. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Jeff Crowder and Bro. John Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Kilgore Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, at the funeral home.
